ESSAY - A PICNIC

To bring zeal and zest in life, picnic is very necessary. A picnic means to go out and spend a day as one likes. It was last Sunday. There were clouds in the sky. The summer was coming to an end. Ajay, Vijay and I decided to go for outings. We decided to spend the day by the side of the big canal. We packed our lunches in our tiffin and proceeded to the canal.

We reached there after an hour or so. It was 8 A.M. by then. The water of the canal was looking blue in the bright light of the sun. Some persons were sitting by the banks of the canal. They were fishing. There were many persons sitting by the banks of the canal. We spread a carpet and sat down to take rest. After some time we felt hungry. We therefore took our lunch. Nearby was a tap, we quenched our thirst by taking water from it.

After lunch we relaxed. We lay down flat on the carpet. As the weather was fine, we had a nap for sometime. Then we got up. We had a game of cards for about an hour. We did some fishing but could not catch any fish. Now it began to dark. We packed our articles and put them on the carrier of our bicycles. We came back before it was quite dark. My mother was waiting for me. We had a very nice time and were therefore very pleased.
